New Pac-Man Toys?! Why not?!

ToyNewsI.com has posted some pictures of the new Pac-Man toyline coming from Bandai based on the upcoming new cartoon series Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.

While it’s admittedly pretty cool to see both a new cartoon series and toy line based off of this classic video game character, there is one specific figure in this line that has really caught my attention. The Gooage Spewing Gigantic Pac! That’s actually what it’s called. Here’s the description:

Gross goo & ghost eyeballs spewing action just like on the show! Drop the goo in, press down on Pac’s head and check out the goo spewing action! With Gooage Spewing Gigantic Pac-Man the “grossly” adventures never end.

“Spewing action just like in the show?!?!?!” What kind of cartoon is this?

Yeah…I’ll probably buy it…

The Round-Up 2/8/2013 – Lots of Early Toy Fair News

Lot’s of news pre-Toy Fair! I’m sure you all have seen this by now, since we’re all frothing at the mouth for new toy news. Nonetheless, here’s some cool news bits.

– Mattel Leaks! By now, I’m sure you all know this. Looks like photos of the MOTU Classics, Watchmen, and DC Universe reveals have snuck out early! You can check them all out here. All I have to say right now is YAY ICER! Looking forward to getting a better look on Sunday.

-The D-Arts Mega Man line grows with the addition of the web exclusive Bass & Treble! I’m really digging this line, and nice to see it moving forward. Here’s hoping we get to some classic robot masters soon. Bass & Treble can already be pre-ordered from Big Bad Toy Store.

– More classic toys return! Toyark.com has a post up confirming new Captain Power action figures based on the upcoming Phoenix Rising! I really enjoyed the old line, so this is certainly one to keep an eye on!

Stay tuned! There will be much more news over the coming weekend. I’m in New York now, and will be filming starting tomorrow. I’ll get video footage online as time permits, but in the meantime be sure to stay tuned to ToyNewsI.com for up-to-the-minute updates!

Mattel teases us with Castle Grayskull playset images

Recently on Facebook, Cornboy of Four Horsemen Design posted that they had just finished the initial sculpt of the Castle Grayskull playset for the Masters of the Universe Classics toy line, and was hoping Mattel would be able to show it off at Toy Fair. Well, it looks like Mattel will indeed be making the big reveal, and to tease us they have been posting very small, close-up shots of the Castle.

Star Wars Black Series Boba Fett to be an SDCC Exclusive?

If you’re like me, then one of the characters you no doubt are excited to see get the 6″ treatment in the new Star Wars Black Series is the infamous bounty hunter known as Boba Fett.

Well good news! It seems Boba Fett may be on the way! But here’s the potential scary news: Rebelscum.com is reporting that 6″ Boba Fett may be a 2013 San Diego Comic Con exclusive.

Now hold on…before you get too upset, the folks at Rebelscum do make a very good point. The past few years, many of Hasbro’s SDCC exclusives have been offered later at retail. This has been the case for some of their Transformers and Marvel Legends exclusives in recent years, and even last year’s Star Wars exclusive. So I think it’s safe to say that a regular 6″ Boba Fett will be released at retail after SDCC. The SDCC version will most likely be a repaint, have special packaging, include an extra accessory, or any combination of those things.

All of this is nothing more than rumor and speculation right now. We should know more details this weekend at Toy Fair.

So what say you? Worried about this rumor? Feel it’s nothing to fear? Let’s hear it!
