There was one thing that you did not mention which I heard another person do. This person, like you guys, was fairly middle of the road about the anticipation of the movie. She made comment on the fact that there was a lot of visual representation of Megan Fox as April O'Neil, but no meaningful dialogue from the character. The critic did not think that this boded well for the character. She felt that this might mean that the makers of the movie will relegate April O'Neil to eye candy and nothing more than a foil for the turtle characters as opposed to a lynchpin character in her own right. Do you or Jonathan have any quick opinions in this regard?
From the moment they cast Megan Fox I was worried she was only cast as eye candy. When I think of April, I just don’t think of someone like Megan Fox. I really feel like she doesn’t fit the role at all. Considering she was merely eye candy in Transformers, I have often feared the obligatory “running in slow motion scenes” in TMNT. I hope we’re wrong and that she is as important to the story as she’s supposed to be. But I’m definitely worried about it.
