In what has become almost a daily update, I have received a 10th teaser image for the upcoming Masters of the Universe Classics Mosquitor…
Apparently Spector has defaced the image Joker-style. This is obviously the picture that the first several teasers were taken from, and it gives us the first real glimpse at his head. But much of the important stuff is still covered up, including his chest! Argh!
He can’t hide it from me for much longer. Only 4 more days to go until his official reveal!
By the way, Spector needs to work on his spelling…
Well, the taunts keep coming. Today I received an e-mail that simply said “Maybe you should chill out…” and had this picture attached:
What, so ToyGuru is Arnie Mr. Freeze now? Poor Mosquitor is completely frozen in a block of ice! Even still, we get to see some new details here. We can see those extra insect appendages high on his back. It also appears that he does not have the blood tanks on his back, unless they are just not plugged in right now. But if he has them, it makes me wonder how they would even fit on his back with those insect legs.
Nice shot of Frosta in the foreground here too. Scott’s obviously playing out some sort of fantasy of his. 😉
Well, I was wrong when I said that the 5th teaser would be the last one before SDCC. I just opened my mailbox to find an e-mail from ToyGuru with the phrase “You have unleashed more power than you can possibly comprehend…” And attached to that e-mail was this photo:
Ack! Spector killed Mosquitor!
I cracked up when I saw this picture. Very clever way to hide his head and chest. But this is still the most revealing picture of Mosquitor so far! We can practically see his entire body! There are small pieces of his chest poking out as well. It appears to be a completely new buck! There doesn’t seem to be any torso articulation, so there very well may actually be liquid in there! Or, maybe it’s just an armor piece with interchangeable plates like Battle Armor He-Man. I can’t quite tell, but I can say I am more excited than ever!
ToyGuru responded to my costume teaser video I posted this morning by sending me a 5th tiny teaser image for the upcoming Masters of the Universe Mosquitor figure! He really does know how to torture me…
This image appears to be a shot of the figure from the side. This seems to confirm that our assumptions about him having the extra insect appendages are correct, as it looks like that’s what we have stuck to his back there. You can also see what may be a piece of his shoulder pad, which seems to be a light brown like the gloved hand we already saw.
I can imagine this will be the last teaser image that is sent, as the entire figure will finally be revealed on Friday July 13th and the Mattypalooza panel at SDCC! I hope anyone who is going understands that I absolutely will not be able to hold in my excitement when that reveal happens. 🙂
Mattel just sent along the 4th image teaser for the upcoming Masters of the Universe Classics Mosquitor figure!
This is a pretty good one, showing off the figure’s left arm! We can see Mosquitor’s short, brown gloves. Also, it looks like he’s utilizing the “monster” forearms as seen on figures like Whiplash and Kobra Khan. That’s an interesting and clever way to accomplish his forearms without a newly tooled piece. The vintage figure have similar “fins” on his forearms, just not quite the same as this.
I’m getting more and more excited to see the final figure!
Mattel has sent me a third teaser image of the upcoming Masters of the Universe Classics Mosquitor figure. It’s the meanest teaser yet.
It’s funny how with each image sent to me, less of the figure seems to be revealed. This time, it looks like we’ve got just the tip of Mosquitor’s nose.
If Mattel and The Four Horsemen are trying to drive me insane, they are succeeding.
