The Arkham games include some great character designs that lend themselves well to action figures! DC Direct keep on pumping out highly detailed collectible figures of Batman and his Rouges Gallery!
Join me for a look at Catwoman from Arkham City Series 2! Video after the jump!
tHIS IS ONE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT i HAVE WITH dc DIRECT. mOST, NOT ALL, BUT MOST OF THE FEMALE FIGURES DON'T STAND WORTH A DAM. sOME, LIKE pOISON iVY FROM THE HUSH SERIES DON'T STAND WELL, EVEN WITH A STAND. tHIS FIGURE DOES LOOK REALLY NICE THOUGH. 🙂
As usual another great review. I have not purchased too many of the Batman figures but I may have to pick this one up.
The proportions on the face are off and that might be why it looks a bit wierd – but they seem a bit off to me on the game model as well, although not quite to the same degree. It looks like she has either a big face on a small head, or had the forntal and parietal areas of her skull reduced in size. it could just be down to her cap, though. Perhaps they are trying to get a "cat" look to her.
The whole jaw also looks thrust a bit too far forward as well – another nod to a cat, perhaps?
Nice review Dan – love the site!
She looks like a trans with big head and no neck.
This is such a let down, i was so eager to get the figure…
I'm definitely curious to get the Mattel Batman/Catwoman 2-pack now, as I'd like to do a "Comparison Time" with the two Catwoman figures. Usually, I prefer the DC Direct Arkham figures becuase of the better details. But I'm wondering if Mattel did better with Catwoman here.
I ACTUALLY THOUGHT HER FACE SCULPT LOOKED OKAY. GUESS THAT'S JUST MY OPINION, THOUGH.
@PIXEL DAN – ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO ANY REVIEWS ON THE NEW "POWER ATTACK BATMAN" LINE? YOU'D BE SURPRISED BY HOW AWESOME THEY ARE!
