From Hasbro’s Star Wars Vintage Collection comes this action figure from Episode I: The Phantom Menace! Is this another must-have, ultimate version of a popular Star Wars character? Join me for a look at young Obi-Wan Kenobi!
I've seen this figure several times, but for some reason, I always leave it on the peg. I guess I'm saving up for G.I.JOE movie stuff.
On an unrelated note, I can't believe you haven't posted the news about the SDCC exclusive, Vykron, which is uh… not getting the best reaction. I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
I think it's OK.
Prediction: Dan will fistfight ANYONE who does not realize how amazing a He-Man with a TANK FOR A FACE really is.
I personally think it's a nice piece of MOTUC history and a ton of goofy fun, but I can see how it's less appealing for fans of the MOTU story as depicted in fiction rather than the story of the toyline itself, which I find fascinating.
I think it's a cool concept. It's certainly not what I expected.
Nice! I like seeing some well done Star Wars reviews from a more casual and toy-focused perspective.
The repacks in the Vintage Collection can be mind-numbing to the point where I find myself researching the differences in deco and accessories to see if it's something I've got or even a necessary slight upgrade. This guy? Turns out I didn't really need him, but I think I lost the Jedi iPhone from the Episode 2 Obi-Wan that the piece actually attaches to.
Now it's time to go scour the pegs for the Movie Heroes Obi-Wan with the Light-Up saber, since I'd like to steal his new headsculpt to put on this more articulated body. Star Wars…why can't I quit you?
not a great figure; but a great review …
the phantom menace series is definitely going to take a back seat for me when i eventually get back into collecting the vintage collection …
