I love it how Dan can't ever give a negative review about an action figure. "the likeness is a little off. it's not perfect to william shatner , but it still looks like captain kirk"

When you get free samples from a toy company, I suppose it does effect having an unbiased opinion. Can't say anything bad or I won't get more free stuff.

I bought these at Toys R Us. Nice try though. Gott a love how that's always the "go to" argument against me. That's tired.

what are you talking about? Just b/c Dan doesnt scream like an internet troll when he doesnt like something, doesnt mean he doesnt point out the negatives.

He clearing points out the likeness is not that great, its just ok on Kirk, which it is. But when you look at it, you know its Kirk.

Also he goes into depth on the issues with the legs.

Go somewhere else and troll please

Not sure I've ever sent anything to PixelDan. But I enjoy his reviews because he doesn't impose his judgments on other people, just presents all the facts so people can decide for themselves.

Great review, Dan. I'm sure there are people who will pass on the figures for the reasons you mentioned. Would be curious to see your review of the Select versions, with the extra legs.

Thanks so much, Zach. I really appreciate that! I'm certainly curious about the versions with the extra legs. If I get them, I'll definitely do a new review of those to show off the differences. Thanks for taking the time to post a comment!

Hi Dan thanks for this review. if you talk Playmates again at sdcc. You think it wouldn't be prudent to mention to them to make a warp collection type 6 inch classics line for Star Trek where they can hit the TV shows especially my fav Deep Space Nine & TNG. I think they must of not expected "Into darkness" to do this good because they denied us a Warp collection like in 2009 with better face sculpts & more leg articulation would of been perfect. Just Like Playmates is jumping in to compete Turtles classics with mattel's motuc. I think Playmates can do with Star Trek what Hasbro is doing with they're Star Wars legends & many fans would purchase them.

    • Pixel Dan says:

Hey man! Actually, Playmates no longer has the Star Trek license. I believe Hasbro holds the master toy license, but all they seem to be doing are Star Trek Kre-O sets and not actual action figures. I think Diamond is our best best for new figures right now!

I like these figures. Great review as usual.
