Nice. The helmet thing doesn't really bother me, I can live with it. Only thing I would have changed would be to make the blue collar piece at the bottom of the next extensions a separate piece to lock onto the torso. Will look awesome next to He-Man and the other heroic warriors.

this is one figure that strictly adhering to the classics style really works and looks better than some ( ahem cough, cough..buzz-off cough cough) The neck attachment is cool as well.

I didn't even like Mek when i was kid , but seeing this review..i want this ! :)

Mek looks great! Can't wait to get him, but my question is when can we expect a Dragon Blaster Skeletor review. Thanks Dan...

Should be up this weekend sometime. I also have Frosta, Cy-Chop, Rattlor, and the Snake Men 2-Pack. I'm working hard to get all of these videos up over the course of the next few days.

If my memory serves corectly he was my second MOTU figure s a kid, Man-E-Faces being the first. It sucks that we can't stack the neck bits with out the collar bits.

Good review!

Could there be some cool sculpting under the helmet like with Tri-klops?

I look forward to the Snake Men Army Builder Review, but save the best for last!

Doesn't look like there is any sculpting under the helmet, from what I can tell.

Dan, do you think the Helmet on yours was just glued a little to high, as in some of the Sorceress figures?

So far, every Mekaneck figure has looked like this, including the one that was on display at SDCC. So I think this is going to be the case on everyone's, unfortunately.

He's just awesome !

Nice review again, Dan! He has always reminded me a little of plastic man. I can't wait to mess around with that neck on some of the other figures, though. Orko first, I think...

I am confused as to why people have an issue with Mecks helmet. Have we ever (in any media) seen him take those goggles off? I don't recall it... so how do we know he has eyes in the traditional sense? Or they might not work anymore, maybe he is blind without the goggles which are linked directly to his brain or something. He could have cybernetic implants, after all he has a nanite neck. Maybe his goggles provide additional sight skills or enable him to see further and so don't need to be over where his eyes would be.In a world where we have guys with elephant heads and three spinning eyes and cameras for a head it just seems strange that we can't suspend disbelief here. Great review as every though Dan, can't wait for this guy.

It's the style in Eternia!

Great review Dan as always. This figure looks awesome and the paint job is top notch. Mek was one of those figures it took me awhile to warm up to but after I did I used him all the time. I used to love to have Mek knock other figures down using his head. Awesome times back then.

I think the helmet issue is worse than the Stinkor forearms issue. I'm suprised there hasn't been more complaining about it...maybe we've just come to expect these types of gafs? ...otherwise, beautiful!
