I really like this line, but its just so GODDAM disappointing that figures like Dogpound, Leatherhead, Snakeweed and Spiderbites, which are hulking/towering characters in the show, are scaled down to the same size of basic figures, I know its a cost issue, but part of their appeal is that they’re HUGE! UGH, maybe they’ll do deluxe versions of them, but probably wont. Its a shame.

Hi. Just want to let you guys know I LOVE the 1980's classic collection TMNT figures. Please make this line continue now that Rocksteady & Bebop are next up. So please pass along to playmates to consider going by the list of characters Turtle allies & the villians from the original line (can avoid the variants because the many characters is what fans want) & here is a link from every year starting from 1988: http://turtlepedia.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Teenage

Thanks & I hope Playmates invests in the Classics Collection line for years to come with also playsets & vehicles for that beautiful 6+ inch line.

Out of the list my dream picks for TMNT Classics collection are: Shredder, Casey Jones, Rat King, Baxter, Mondo Gecko, Leatherhead, Splinter, Panda Khan, Usagi Yojimbo, Genghis & Napolean frogs, Ace Duck, Foot soldier, Triceraton, General Traag, Rock soldier, Slash, King Lionheart, Mona Lisa, Hothead, Krang, Metal head, Man Ray F, April O, Tokka & Rahzar, Scale tail, Dirtbag, Wingnut (w/ screwloose). I am biast for the animal mutants. Just wishful thinking but this playmates line can also include new toon characters fitting them into the retro world like a 200X thing Mattel did with Masters classics. It would be a great paradime for Playmates & the Turtles Universe also giving the classics form more versatility. Maybe ask them to make a Playmates site for Monthly subscriptions. Come on Dan, you have some Toy Pull.

Haha, I don't have that much pull with them! 🙂

I'm with you though, man! I'd love nothing more than to see this line continue to grow and give us a ton of amazing characters in this scale and style. While talking to them at Toy Fair, they definitely gave off the vibe that they are taking this at a very cautious approach. The admitted that they are new to making Collector figures. Even though we may love and collect other line sof theirs, they have always made kids their focus. TMNT Classics is their first line amde exlcusive for Adult Collectors. So they are taking baby steps. They don't want to mess up, and they don't want the line to fail. That's part of the reason they are only making a few figures at a time.

I got the impression that Bebop & Rocksteady will be the only TMNT Classics we see in 2013 (along with reissues of the 4 Turtles.) And if they sell as well as the Turtles did, we'll get a few more figures in 2014. And the cycle willc ontinue that way. It sucks we have to wait so long to get them, but if this means the line will survive then I'm all for it. As long as we get the basics, I'll be happy. But like you, there are many other characters I'd love to see. A Classics Mutagen Man is my dream! So I'll keep hoping for great sales for this line so it can continue and hopefully grow! 🙂
