You couldn't have said it better, Dan. Was very sad when I heard the news today. Lou did help shape my childhood and the person I am today through his hard work and it does feel like a member of my family has passed away. My deepest condolences to Erika, the Scheimer family, and the Filmation family at large -- of which I consider all of us a part of. You'll never be forgotten, Mr. Scheimer...

I didn't hear about this till today. Saddened by the news. He was a visionary and will be missed.

Well said Dan. I had always hoped that I would have been able to meet Mr. Scheimer, but realized with his declining health that this would probably never happen. He was my Walt Disney or Stan Lee. I can never repay him with the great memories he created for my childhood. All I can do is offer up my deepest sympathies and prayers to both him and his family.
