Matty has finally posted some larger images of the concept drawings for the upcoming Castle Grayskull playset! The initial images that hit online were a bit small. These make it a little easier to see what’s going on.
Castle Grayskull is available for pre-order right now on MattyCollector.com!

UPDATE: Good news for international fans! Reports have been coming in that Matty has adjusted the shipping costs on international orders. They are about half the cost now, which most seem to report as being accurate. Thank goodness!
Original: The pre-order for the Masters of the Universe Classics Castle Grayskull playset have opened up on MattyCollector.com. You can Pre-Order it and read the full details of the playset here.
The final cost of the playset is $250.00 plus shipping/taxes. Matty will not charge you for the playset until it ships, which isn’t until December 2013. So I guess you’ve got a little over a year to actually save up for it, which is kind of nice.
Shipping costs are already looking really high on this one, though. For me, shipping and taxes to Illinois ran $54. Already, many International fans are reporting shipping prices as high as $200, which is incredibly steep. So be warned, this is not going to be a cheap purchase.
So here’s the question: will the shipping charges keep you from ordering? And also, do we think the high shipping costs will hurt the overall chances of the goal being met in order to actually produce the playset?

Special thanks to my friends George and Ayleen once again for having me on!

UPDATE: Confirmation that is was indeed a mistake. From ToyGuru:
“We used the wrong image. It happens. I’ve already asked the team to correct it. Should be removed by the AM. Rattlor does not come with the armor. We couldn’t afford it as noted when we revealed him at SDCC. He has a ton of deco. Every scale was a deco hit!”
ORIGINAL: Uh oh! Looks like MattyCollector.com goofed!
In the listing for the product going on sale October 15th, 2012, Masters of the Universe Classics Rattlor is shown wearing his general armor!
This definitely appears to be a goof, since we already know that Rattlor does not include this armor. Scott “Toyguru” Neitlich did tell us at San Diego Comic Con that the armor had been sculpted, but it was cut from the figure because of cost. He also said they were hoping to release it in a future weapons pak.
But now this picture has shown up on Matty. The problem is that this is sure to confuse some folks, and will certainly bum a lot of folks out seeing something they won’t be getting.
But at least we get to see what the armor looks like! Fingers crossed it’ll show up somewhere down the road.
Mattel has yet to comment on the photo. I’ll be sure to keep you all updated!
