The mentor of Man-At-Arms from the 200x animated series gets his first ever action figure!
Join me for a look at this upcoming new figure from Mattel!
Video after the jump!
Dekker will be available on MattyCollector.com on November 15th, 2012.
Maybe we will see these new boots reused for Sea Hawk or possibly Blade, only in black instead of brown. This figure looks nice, but overall I could live without him. He's cool and all, but I'd rather have more characters from the original cartoon.
Sea Hawk is exactly who I was thinking.
I find it amusing that Mattel is making this figure instead of Two-Bad…
Oh well… I was a huge fan of the 200X MOTU cartoon
This line has always been full of characters from all reaches of the MOTU mythos, not just the main vintage toy line. Someone like Two-Bad is better used a bait to sell subscriptions, to be honest. I would not be surprised if we see him revealed at next year's SDCC. 🙂
How big are the chances of Two-Bad being a special sculpt like Ram-man?
I bet there's a pretty good cahnce of that!
His heads look too small.
I should also clarify, that I love that they made this figure. I'm glad MOTUC continues to produce figures of characters that have never had toys. I am curious, is he made of black plastic like the other recent figures?
That is the difference between me buying him or not.
I haven't noticed any scratching ont he figure as of yet that reveals any black plastic, so I am unsure. I know with my DB Skeeltor, the paint rubbed off of his hand immediately upon putting his sword in, which revealed black plastic underneathe. So far, I have not had this paint scratch problem with either Dekker or Randor. I'll be sure to keep folks posted if it comes up.
Will the figure sit on Battlecat? has been a standard
I don't think so. I'll check for sure, but his leg articulation is VERY limited by the skirt piece.
Time to get out my 200X DVDs. I only remember Dekker a little. Very nice figure though.
