What, me doing a Joe review?
I haven't done a lot of them, but this isn't my first. I've actually reviewed many of the Wave 1 Retaliation figures. 
Keep the G.I. joe reviews of any kind coming….

I think GI Joe has officially died after seeing this review. It's a shame where the line is going. The awful renegades line, now this. It has jumped the shark. I don't think it will ever be as good as 25th, pursuit of cobra, the 30th line, and vintage of course.
I agree that the 25th, pursuit, and the 30th lines were great. The renegades line had some cool figs! Snake Eyes, Law and Order, Rip Cord to name a few were pretty cool looking! This new wave of G.I. Joe movie toys (so far) doesn't impress me. I've seen some pix of later figures that are coming out like the Black Dragon Ninja and the Cyber Ninja look pretty sweet! Plus the Cobra Raft looks awesome! It's not all bad.
Pursuit of Cobra and the 30th line were both pretty incredible. And like you, I agree that so far I'm not impressed with this movie line. But, as Binks mentions below, I think some of the later wave stuff is going to be the better stuff. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
After the black, brown, and red tanks we got with POC this HISS is a real step backward. Aditionally, must agree that everything the Cobra Commander has going for it, its completely slammed by that old-school 5-point articulation. The Retaliation line has been somewhat of a bust so far. My favorite is the Fang Boat, but thats not saying much.
